The undeniable failure in Ukraine is leading to the implementation of this guerrilla theory by moving NATO assets and sleepers across Asia to create a grand board of localised aberrations and chaos

Recent developments in Ukraine and the various failed attempts by the Ukrainians to reverse the situation on the ground are leading the Americans and their British counterparts to become more involved in the efforts, albeit behind the scenes.

Asia is becoming an extension of Ukraine's theatre of operations and this is being reflected in curious developments in places where NATO was until recently and in others where it is seeking to expand its influence.

The re-emergence of ISIS (with new and modern weapons) in Syria ambushing Syrian Arab units and also in Afghanistan harassing the Taliban and threatening border security with the Russian Federation, the growing political instability in Pakistan, the situation around Niger and the revealed intentions of the White House to reinforce -under the guise of Taiwan- the Anglo-American presence in the South Sea paint a critical picture that is no accident.

It is no secret that the US has for years been working under strings to prevent what is now a reality, Russia's resurgence. Democracy is a hollow word that Americans often spit out of their mouths but do not assimilate into their actions. The RAND Corporation's reports outlining plans to stress and unbalance Russia are the best evidence and background for the origin of the current situation in Ukraine, which they are undoubtedly trying to extend to other scenarios.

It is well known that in order to create the ideal scenario that allows Washington and its cronies to claim that human rights, freedoms and the aforementioned international legality are being violated, there must be facts to accompany these stories, and to do this they usually take two paths: Exaggerating a certain fact, with the media as allies in this function, or creating the conditions and the facts themselves to show them as having been committed by the governments they are trying to unseat.

Deception and exaggeration have been their primary means of convincing public opinion of the need for aggression, assassination, invasion and, of course, occupation to ensure “national security”.

When Iraq invaded Kuwait in August 1990, Washington had carefully plotted Saddam's moves and conned him (through Ambassador April Glaspie) into the action. That done, world public opinion had to be convinced that “Iraq had to be punished” and the information poisoning machine, led by CNN and the BBC, began to sow the tares that would underpin what was to come. One of the inventions they spread for these purposes was the alleged destruction of incubators in a Kuwaiti hospital reported by Nayrah Al Sabah which (as we know today) turned out to be a propaganda hoax.

It was from there that the Arabophobic and Islamophobic propaganda began to be strengthened and later refined and capitalised upon.

Precisely when the US and its British colleagues decided to invade Iraq in 2003, the lies about weapons of mass destruction and alleged links with “Al Qaeda” -as part of the demonisation of Sunni Islam- were shamelessly spread by the same media and it soon became clear that they had conned the public. Obviously not. It became very clear that the media were part of the political infrastructure of the hegemonic plans.

In Latin America, too, attempts have been and continue to be made to create destabilisation. The main target is revolutionary Venezuela, which since its foundation by Hugo César Chávez has endured several coup attempts in which foreign elements linked to Washington and NATO intervened.

Closer in time, the race to destabilise the political life of the Russian Federation reached its climax in 2014 with the brazen operation of the US embassy in Kiev and the strutting through the streets of then Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and then Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt, exposed by the recordings of their phone calls. Or the visits of the old republican senator John McCain fraternising with the neo-Nazis of “Pradvy Sektor” moments before the Maidan events... What a democrat!

Those were the visible faces. Behind and in the dark were the louts and thugs that the CIA and their MI6 colleagues had recruited to carry out the coup. While their gangs were murdering demonstrators and policemen at the same time, the media were constructing the Russophobic narrative that would try to lay the blame on Russia.

We saw that attempt again in Kazakhstan with the outbreak of street protests in January 2022 which cells composed of foreign types through assaults, beatings and murders tried to degenerate into similar situations in Libya, Syria, Ukraine that would give NATO arguments to come to the nation's aid. Fortunately, the Kremlin reacted quickly and put out the fire.

The bad expectations already recognised in Ukraine have led Joe Biden and his team of neo-conservatives to accelerate their operation around containing and somewhat more against China, as a desperate attempt at provocation, and for this they need to create in the whole surrounding region those atmospheres of insecurity and mistrust with which to justify the intrusive policies they intend to implement. One of the main objectives is to convince Vietnam of the imminent danger from its giant neighbour and (of course) the need for the US fleet to anchor there.

Alongside these measures, Biden continues to encourage further restrictions so that US technology sectors investing in China in Artificial Intelligence, semiconductors and quantum computing are under severe government control.

Another fear is North Korea, which has learned the lessons of contemporary history best and far from relaxing, is putting into practice the adage that if “you want peace, prepare for war”. In this context, tactical machinations such as AUKUS and QUAD are not enough.

Today the visible faces may have changed but the tactics and strategic objectives have not. Ukraine is proving to be a difficult ballast for Washington, and could become the new Afghanistan for Biden, a fact that not only the Democrats but the entire Establishment, let alone the American people, will not forgive, which will mean a farewell to the White House in 2024.
