THE EPILOGUE

The situation on the Artemivsk front is really critical for Kiev but the Western media are lying through their teeth. Are they watching another film?

What used to be a country road leading out of Artemivsk is now a field ploughed by Russian artillery shelling, with the half-buried remains of trucks, shattered armoured vehicles and many bodies of foreign mercenaries and Ukrainian soldiers trying to leave the last remaining squares of the city. It is a crucial moment in this war and the pro-NATO regime in Kiev knows it. But President Vladimir Putin himself knows it too, and although he does not show off in the media like the Ukrainian comedian, he is very much aware of what is going on.

According to unauthorised sources, Vladimir Putin is said to have made a secret trip to Donetsk where he learned first-hand about the course of military action around Artemivsk, leaving a strong impression of confidence among military commanders, PMC Wagner and Chechens. Moreover, he has taken further measures for Russia's internal security by issuing directives to the FSB and the SVR to redouble efforts against incursions by Western-backed attack cells.

There was no need for some media to disseminate an Israeli Mossad report showing the military catastrophe of the fundamentalist regime in Kiev. Other sources agree with these figures. The material magnitude of this situation represents the loss of two armies today. Just to say that a report of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence itself as of March 2023 states that almost 3500 combat tanks and more than 6700 armoured vehicles have been lost is evidence of a disaster that is impossible to conceal.

But these numbers are also revealing a gigantic arms deal, for both sides but particularly for the West. The entire plutocratic emporium of bankers, politicians and arms corporations that interlock at NATO level is lobbying the Biden administration to keep the war going. The flow of money not only finances arms, equipment and hires mercenaries, it also pays for the great machine of lies and propaganda represented by the corporate media that in the last few hours has been trying to cover Washington's tracks in the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines by telling a hilarious hypothesis that obviously tries to take the responsibility for this attack away from it.

But there is bad news for them as even their allies are not swallowing the pill. The need to invent a supposed group of pro-Ukrainian activists as the ones responsible for the pipeline attack reveals the desperate attempt to get rid of the responsibility that is causing the energy shortages across Europe and the economic advantage that it very conveniently brings to US LNG companies to supply their liquefied gas at seven times the price.

That is why the battles taking place in Artemivsk are of crucial importance to the outcome of this war. Against the advice of his military commanders, Zelensky insists on continuing to send troops into the city even though this represents senseless carnage. For it is not the Ukrainian generals, let alone the Hollywood clown, who control field decisions and policy.

It has become clear that Zelensky is just Washington's sounding board and has no scruples about sacrificing a whole generation of Ukrainians to enshrine the plans of the Americans, but in particular NATO. It is not the Russians who are fleeing in masse from the levy as the Western media have been screaming from the rooftops of their repeaters. Ukrainian men who cannot flee because of the regime's tight police control of the streets of Kiev and the main cities to the west are in hiding.

Another point that is being devastated by Russia is the supply centres and weapons depots they receive from abroad. In addition to the loss of imported war materiel, there is the destruction of facilities, vehicles and, of course, the shock to the population. Added to this, the captures on the battlefield of intact stockpiles of NATO anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, plus the collections of portable weapons (AK-47; AK-74; AK-103; SA80; FAMAS and the list goes on) that Russian infantry and special groups find daily and in bulk in captured trenches reveal a multi-million dollar investment that would be very difficult to calculate accurately. This makes you wonder who is fuelling the war?

Zelensky has repeatedly rejected talks with Moscow in the belief that he could turn the situation around. But let us not forget that this is not of his own making. Those pushing him are sitting in the State Department and the Pentagon demonstrating that they don't give a damn about the lives of Ukrainians and also, why not, about CIA reports on the real situation. Far from the Western media farce about Putin's failure, the evidence is quite the reverse, to the extent that Zelensky's hysteria and desperation was so evident when (emulating the Israeli Zionists) he declared that it will be the sons and daughters of the USA who will have to die for Ukraine.

There is no better way to describe what is now happening on the front line than the title of this article and it is Vladimir Putin who, with his field binoculars and wearing a uniform that really suits him for his extended experience, watches as the intricate lines of Ukrainian trenches, awash with melting snow and sticky mud, crumble and crumble, as demoralising as the Russian enemy.
