AN MI6 OFFICE IN BUENOS AIRES

Why has London secured control of the South Atlantic and access to Antarctica without lifting a finger?

By Sir Charlattam

I didn't believe it until one of my contacts confirmed it. We already knew that Argentina would be changing the orientation of its state policy from the previous clientelism in public office to a supposedly minimal state, or something similar. But I did not know that the SIS, or more vulgarly, MI6, would be involved in this reform.

Certainly, Javier Milei's government has gone too far in some of its plans, and intelligence is one of them. As an old Scottish colleague would say ‘if something must stink, let it stink horrible’. It seems that Milei and his advisers are paying close attention to the envoys of David Lammy's secretary Foreign Office, so much so that according to my sources, the organisation will mirror the building in Vauxhall Cross, London.

It seems that in Buenos Aires the sewage will continue to flow the same shit only with pipes from the British system.

Apparently the Argentinians must have their noses asleep as the whole thing stinks to high heaven. With the South Atlantic occupied and in transit to becoming a much stricter exclusion zone for Argentine shipping, they seem to be asleep in Buenos Aires. But it is true that this is being handled very much behind closed doors between departments and only with those who are really committed to the issues. Even my source has told me that there are many things that Milei himself and his sister (the boss) do not know.

Among some of the curiosities of this new layout is the way staff are coded. The new Intelligence Secretariat will now have new names for the identification of its personnel, especially the hierarchical ones. From now on, the position of secretary will be called ‘Mr C’ (Caputo?), which is very unimaginative if Argentine politicians have any imagination left. I think if Ian Fleming were to rise from his grave at Sevenhampton, he would send one of his acid notes to Starmer himself to stop ridiculing his novels.

Also, the new organisation will have an area of security and public affairs as in MI6 and which the Argentine version will call ‘counter-intelligence’ which would not fulfil the function that the word represents within this field.

It is true that previously the so-called SIDE or AFI was a real empty box with no content or strategic purpose and through which billions of money was siphoned off for anything but the functions it was meant to perform. The old story of abuse of power and corruption that is not alien to our British tradition. That is not to say that the British intelligence structure is any better or does not engage in the dirty underworld affairs of our representatives. It has much more seniority and even if that does not mean efficiency and playing by clean rules, it must be respected.

But it is not only our harvest that is being harvested in this new administration of Argentine intelligence. The Yankees come first and foremost, as they have preference over the rest. Here, in a way, we are in a tie with the Argentines. In reality the Yankees were always here and regardless of the 18 years of ‘K’ progressivism, both the CIA and their military intelligence colleagues had their offices in full view of everyone and in each of the buildings of each of their forces. There is an explanation for this from 1982 onwards, although it is too long to comment on it now.

But in the new era in which we live, spies no longer need to walk or travel to faraway places to infiltrate or recruit potential agents. Today, computer technology has synthesised everything and we have even seen how it is possible to penetrate more protected systems, archives and public offices or launch cyber-attacks against other nations without moving the arse from an armchair. The Argentines were also in their infancy in this area, although by 2015, according to sources in the embassy at the time, they had been equipped with some Israeli cybernetic technology to intercept communications and, among the reconfigurations, a special area for these issues was added.

An information technology directorate was also set up, which the Argentines call cybersecurity.

As far as Argentine military intelligence is concerned, I understand that it does not exist and the best proof of this is the free movement of the Royal Navy in conjunction with American task forces has been increasing in the South Atlantic escorting transport ships with new shipments of equipment and personnel for the construction of a new military installation adjacent to Port Stanley.

Cybersecurity has for some time now been handled by Israeli advisors and quite possibly the specialists of the so-called Unit 8200 so there will be a cohabitation of acquaintances which does not mean friends since unlike the Americans of the CIA, the Israelis have not yet managed to fool London with some of their tricks. We are still resenting the Islamophobic agitation in Britain which was very cleverly instigated by notable pro-Israeli sectors very close to MPs using neo-Nazi scum who are old MI5 assets.

Well gentlemen, it seems that Milei's government has become another subject of the Crown which means that the Argentinians will have to kiss the arses of Starmer and our gracious King Charles III.
