WORLD CUP OF HYPOCRESY

What could be the reasons behind a World Cup that has generated so little enthusiasm for football? A tournament of hypocrites with geopolitical agendas, perhaps?

By Sir Charlattam

As aliens have recently become all the rage following the convenient declassification of some CIA files, perhaps they, who see things from above, will be able to spot the great hypocrisy we are witnessing with the World Cup. Why? There are plenty of reasons. Given that it is being held in a country that is perpetrating an atrocious genocide in Palestine and has started yet another war – and that, based on its track record alone, its political and military officials should long since have been tried before the International Criminal Court there is no better description for this spectacle.

Apart from this, I cannot deny my hopes for Thomas Tuchel’s ‘Three Lions’ team; it is also true to say that winning the cup would be a huge relief for Keir Starmer’s Labour government, and that is something I would not welcome.

There is no doubt that the awarding and organisation of this tournament in the US has been pre-arranged, and there is even less doubt about the role Donald Trump himself has played in it.

As well as the fabulous business opportunities it represents for sports entrepreneurs and, in particular, for FIFA, this spectacle is, in the current circumstances, the Roman-style ‘bread and circuses’ so desperately needed to cover up the mess caused by the policies of a US administration deeply committed to the ideology of an extremist faction of the Israeli elite.

The commercial aspect of this spectacle is revealed by the fact that it is the most expensive World Cup in history and, at the same time, the one in which the host country’s inhabitants have the least interest. Added to this, it is a spectacle that bears more resemblance to an exclusive club like the ‘Cocktail Queen’ with entry restricted by the militarised police of Homeland Security than to a public celebration. Highly sophisticated police state controls involving, amongst other delightful measures, biometric identification and information on visitors’ ideological leanings extracted from social media profiles – a true manifestation of the technological fascism in which we find ourselves.  This has not interested the FIFA leadership, and they have even gone further in demonstrating their willingness to act as the doormat for an administration riddled with inconsistency, to put it mildly.

The factors that lead me to say this are evident in the strict controls, particularly focused on visitors’ ideological and religious affiliations, to grant entry to the US. The case of the Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan is one of the scandalous instances among hundreds of others linked to football who were prevented from participating. So whilst FIFA President Gianni Infantino smiles and shakes hands with the president of a country that boasts (or at least used to) of being democratic, at the entrance journalists, commentators, players and referees are barred from participating because the conclusions reached no doubt by an FBI AI system or by cross-referencing the databases of various intelligence agencies (blacklists) deem them unwelcome simply for being Arab, Muslim or African, or because they are perceived as having the wrong mindset by the Zionist lobbies of AIPAC or their counterparts in Ireland, who are already inciting MI5 thugs in Ulster to stir up hatred against immigrants.

A prime example of this abhorrent discrimination can be seen in the case of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s national team, which was prevented from entering the US and had to be received and accommodated on Mexican territory. If we look at this through the lens of rational logic, it makes no sense whatsoever, since it is the Iranians who were attacked and must now tolerate being treated as suspects.

For the White House administration, this is a very convenient event to divert attention from the complex issues they are currently grappling with, including the dire state of the domestic economy (inflation increasing) with soaring fuel prices exacerbated by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the tortuous negotiations with Iran to try to achieve what they failed to secure on 3 February. We could also add the explosive revelations by the outgoing Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), Tulsi Gabbard, regarding the network of 120 biowarfare laboratories funded by taxpayers’ money and scattered across the globe, some 40 of which are in Ukraine. Let us not forget the involvement of the previous Democratic administration, with the involvement of former President Joe Biden’s son and the whole matter of his dealings with METABIOTA in Ukraine.

On this latter matter, if investigations are launched at the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) where the Russians have provided a great deal of evidence regarding the link between these biolaboratories and the development of SARS-CoV-2, amongst other pathogens certain matters concerning the British special branch at Port Down could come to light.

Well, gentlemen, all this is just a big smokescreen that will hide the harsh reality we find ourselves in for which our governments are responsible for a month. The question is: what will happen when the distraction is over?
